Live music is great, food is delicious, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, reasonably priced. What more can I say. I'd definitely visit again and recommend to others.
The Lord Nelson feels more like a location of historical interest than just a pub! Tucked away somewhere in Sneinton, I wondered why I never found a reason to walk into this place in the last 12 months of living in Sneinton. I made that move, and I'm glad I did. The interior exudes an aura of a small-town country heritage with beautiful items that look like relics adorning the corners of the main room. The lady who attended to us wasn't hostile but she wasn't ready to absorb a joke either. Lol. It was straight face/jacket business afterall! The rear garden was simply beautiful and I loved the greenery and the furnitures. I think they were unique. I would go back soon, cos I think it would be a sweet place to sit and watch twilight fall.
A lovely little pub with some great original features! Wouldn't be out of place if it was in a little village! New owners who said it was nearly 500 years old.
Lovely local pub landlady so friendly and welcoming. Very busy with a wide range of people workmen and families. Little gem tooked away.
Great to find a proper pub with proper people , good beer , open fire , pool table , 2 bars , garden and a new chef doing Jamaican/Caribbean food as well as traditional dishes and Sunday roast , wish you all the best for the future ????
