Not as good as used to be but thats the town dont hardly know anyone pubs only place may see someone from Nelson or Lancashire or the U.K Sad days but its been my local years most who drink there are decent mix of characters used to be rough 20 yrs back good landlady and top staff have a look you will enjoy

Like an 1800's Saloon bar in the wild west USA. Love it! All the music stops when you walk in, people stop playing pool and doing what they're doing, (usually a few lines off the toilet seat) and welcome you with a fresh trout. Oooh yea. Jazz club it's not, but edgy, dark, dank and interesting it is. (In a good way). ????

Nice place , cheap , good beer . The locals are friendly when you get to know them.

I think it's fantastic. My husband has had a major stroke and is unable to talk or walk. He is currently in the pendle community hospital. I go every day and take him a walk out in his wheel chair. When we get there the locals put a ramp down and push him in for me. When I leave they help me out with him..
