We just started in the Charlotte for 1st drink before hitting town for hen celebrations No one in the bar overwhelmingly strong smell of bleach Very worried looking bar person who was more concerned with his phone call Taking in to consideration that we were all henned up in our pink bridal party finarys No comments made or welcoming us And we only had 1 deink each mine and my partners drink cost £12.20 1 pint and 1 500ml bottle of cider As you can imagine we didn't stay long especially as someone's child spilt water and the bleach was used again Making 3 of us cough not good when 2 of us have asthma I can honestly say even though we live very close it will probably be the last time we go in the Charlotte
I previously give this place a 2 star as last time I visited it was dark and dingy, food wernt great and dirty in the dining area and untidy and messy outside. I can honestly say I visited today and was not disappointed to say the least, the place has undergone a great change its very clean and tidy inside and out and looks inviting from outside for first time in a long time. The staff are great and very friendly, great atmosphere and with a new menu the food was great. £12 for lovely tasty lamb roast dinner, £13 in total as I had extra veg but thoroughly enjoyed it. Looks like this place has finally got its spark back, great job guys.
The Queen Charlotte is a popular pub in Andover, Hampshire. It is a large, family-friendly pub with a large beer garden and children's play area. The pub also has a sports bar with two pool tables, darts board and wide screen TV's showing live Sky & BT Sports. The pub serves a variety of food, including pub classics, burgers, pizzas and salads. The food is generally good quality and reasonably priced. The service is friendly and efficient. The pub is a popular spot for both locals and tourists. It is a great place to watch live sport, enjoy a meal or simply relax with a drink. Overall, the Queen Charlotte is a decent pub with a lot to offer. It is a great place to go for a drink, a meal or to watch live sport. However, it is important to be aware that it can be very busy and noisy during key fixtures and less family friendly.
Long serving Andover pub popular with the locals. Under new management and hopefully going to get better with time and when they start serving food
It's very expensive and does not serve food I was told they don't have a cook at the moment. The food used to be really nice 10 years ago but the manager from that time left and it has never got back to that standard . I don't visit this place often due to the cost
