This place is a gem. The atmosphere is incredible; we loved all the art, sculptures, and funky things. The menu has something for everyone; our party ordered 5 different items and they were all devilishly good (i.e., hellish tacos, evil elote fries, sinister sliders, fiendish fried pickles, and false shepherds pie). The staff was ghoulishly friendly, y’all are awesome. It’s heinous how great this place is. Also, a big thanks to the coward who left the comically witless remarks on a sheet of paper (now framed beautifully in the back, check it out). We had many laughs at your expense and the people who take it seriously. Thank you! Hail the skillet! ????????????
Been wanting to to try this place while I was in town and finally got a chance. Food was delicious. Of the tacos I ordered I loved the shrimp and corn. Can't go wrong. Looking forward to trying some other stuff next time. Has some amazing art on the walls.
The Skillet is over the bridge in New Town, a 10 minute walk from the main square and the Plaza Hotel. We were told it was "funky/quirky" but the food was good. Yes and yes. We shared chicken wings and a bowl of salad - BEWARE the spicy buffalo sauce (very tingly lips). Amber ale was a good beer, brewed in Santa Fe.
