Ok let me tell you this is a family run place, and they are the friendliest as can be. I only get my food to-go so I can’t attest to the restaurants amenities. The ribs I’ve had has a delicious dry rub. Little or no sauce is needed on them. A serving of tender brisket for the kid, and I got the wife their special Boston stew which is made with smoked meat. Wrap that up with a couple of sides, and you got your family a great meal. Make sure you get a purchase punch card to earn a free sandwich. Veteran discount is nice too. So the to-go food is a 5.

Today was another day that we had to have barbecue at our favorite place around the corner. Today I ordered the wings. I tried them once before and knew that they were smokey, with a great rub. I got two sides, the potato salad and of course corn pudding. The potato salad is so creamy and fresh. The corn pudding, is always delicious. I just love the owners and the food is always wonderful. Next week it's the ribs. Just got to make sure I get there on time and they are not sold out. They are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday only. It is worth the trip give it a try.

All our guests enjoyed the pulled Chicken and mouth watering Brisket. The pork BBQ was smoked to perfection and the homemade sides were delicious, especially the potato salad. Doug and Janine made us feel like we were coming to a family dinner. Thank You for a Amazing meal !!

Don’t think twice, just go. My pulled pork sandwich had enough tender moist pork for 2 sandwiches and the 2 homemade sides were delicious (potato salad & smoky Mac & cheese) The Mac & cheese had a great slight kick to it…so yummy. And, I got a 1/2 a pint of their special of the week, the smoked chicken salad. So far, I’ve made 3 sandwiches out of it and there’s still enough for another. I thought my homemade chicken salad was the bomb until I tried theirs! I walked in at the busiest time (12:30 on a Saturday), had not called ahead and walked out with my food in less than 5 minutes (even with a line waiting). Portions were so generous I couldn’t eat it all. Everything was delicious & the owners were so nice and helpful. What a great addition to Jefferson County!

I was assisting one of my good friends with organizing the meal after her mother’s Memorial service and Smokey Q was the catering company she selected. They arrived and had everything setup in an extremely timely manner. They were more than willing to assist us with whatever was needed and they made the food setup aspect of the meal a breeze. The food was delicious to say the least. The chicken and pork with sauces and the sides and deserts were just superb and not a single person left hungry. When you are grieving food is the last thing on your mind but if you do eat, you want it to be a good meal. Smokey Q provided a GREAT meal! We are very grateful and happy and will recommend them always!
