Family owned and operated. I have been coming here for 10 years. Absolutely love the service and care the staff takes, treats you like family!
I've been with Western Dry Cleaners for over two decades. They are the best. They also offer pickup and drop off. The staff is very helpful and super friendly. This is a family owned dry cleaners. Very personable service. Thank you Western Dry Cleaners for 20 plus years of consistently top notch service. You are hands down the best.
I'm disappointed in the way they run their business. I came in here last month to get a quote on a dress & I was quoted $45 for a press. I said I'd be back. I came back to drop it off & she raised the price to $75 for the same Dress. For just the Press. I mentioned it was the same dress & the same person that had given the original quote which is why I came back. But basically she said because it means "More work" since they already have work. she raised the price. Even though It was the EXACT SAME DRESS I showed her before. It is laughable but it is what it is. Just wanted to share my experience before anyone wastes their gas driving over to support that local business.
The building is literally falling apart, and full of holes. The walls are little more than particle board. The service was slow and rude when I took the garment in. When I picked it up, I saw it (it is a very unique jacket) and I pointed it out; the lady still went to the back looking for it and several minutes later came back to ask what color it was. I got it home and it was still dirty in spots, not stained, but not cleaned. Plus the cost was three dollars higher than the newer cleaner a couple miles away. Typically, I like to give my business to the local independents in historic downtown, but I will make an exception here.
I rarely leave a review and only if it is warranted! I would not even give Western Dry Cleaners a star but it is required. I took my four panels of silk curtains to be cleaned before leaving, I asked them to make sure they were equipped to clean these without any issues. I was told they could and was handed a ticket with them being ready within 4 days. I returned three days after the due date only to be told...they are not ready because when pressed they had water marks so they would clean them again. I returned a week later to be told, "oh! they aren't ready and some excuse". I asked to see them but was told they didn't know where they were. Fast forward exactly 21 days after I dropped them off initially, my third attempt to pick them up only to be told some excuse and they had not be pressed. I told them to just give them to me and requested a discount. After I got home I really should have demanded no payment! My silk curtains are no longer useable. They look like they have been washed in a regular washing machine multiple times (which they had) and now are faded with frayed edges and holes in the area where the weights are. The manufacture's tags are hanging on by one thread and are barely readable not to mention they are now shorter in length. With all the damage they are totally deemed unusable....unless you like the look of a sheet that has been washed for 10 years on a regular basis hanging from your windows! Will never use Western Dry Cleaners again! As a business owner...you should have said, we don't specialize in silk or curtains and referred me to another location versus charging me $100 less a discount of $25, only because I requested it! I guess you could say the one star is only because the building is actually still standing which is surprising in it's run down state...that should have been a sign as well....if there equipment is as old and run down as the building no wonder I had an issue.
