Country Inn Steak & Seafood

First time here. The bathrooms are at the entrance, being the first thing you pass & smell walking in. Our surf & turf wasn't hot, it was more like room temperature. The coleslaw was pretty good though. The chicken fried steak was not good, the breading on it was what ruined it. It was spongy like a pancake mix. Service was extremely slow including a drink refill. Getting the check took a while. Overall it wasn't worth the $$ . Others should give it a try at least once. The experience may be different. We are from out of town, so probably wouldn't stop here again.

Dinner for my wife and I tonight. Parking lot was full upon arrival and around 12-14 tables were occupied. There was one waitress who was working hard for all the tables. She had a great attitude. There was one really nice gentleman who was bussing the tables. That was it. The frustrating part was there was one lady who was either management or owner who sat watching a video in the back corner of the restaurant while the one waitress was swamped. Never stepped in even when she occasionally walked by and tea glasses were empty etc. Then guess who was running the register, yes the waitress. Food was nothing special. We had chicken fried steak that was a bit doughy and portions of steak were large but sides were skimpy. Salad was a small lettuce and one slice of tomato with a side of your dressing of choice. I would have been ok with the food but for ownership/management to just watch while one waitress handled the entire restaurant said enough about their commitment to quality and customers.

This place has been around awhile. It feels like walking into the past. The service was great. Loved the iced tea. I had a club sandwich, not bad. Their fried foods looked delicious. Low key place to eat.
