Crestwood Coin Car Wash

I gave my first car its wash at this business, and I have continued to use this business since. the owners have always been amazing throughout the years and the current owners are fantastic. the place is always clean. the owners are very attentive to the customer needs. Even opening and closing of the bay doors for you. garbage is always emptied. It really is too bad the city allowed a franchise carwash to open across from a long time locally owned business. shameful. I hope this place continues to see success

Now I'm all about supporting the little guy, but i think im going to stop coming here. My mom and I came here the other day with the front end of the car covered in bug guts. I wanted to wash it for her. So I start the wash and first of all, the soap won't come out. I will admit, the lady was very nice and friendly, that's why this is a 2 star and not a 1 star. But good customer service doesnt get the bugs off of my mother's car. The water temperature and water pressure were not high enough to get the bugs off. I got the wand so close that at any other car wash it would've stripped off that cheap kia paint. The wand should feel like wrestling a small crocodile in my arms, instead it had about half the kickback it should have. I couldn't get the bugs off even with the wand sitting just a hair off the paint. We left with the remnants of the bugs still all over the car. We got $2 on wash time for free for the soap not coming out, and I honestly felt bad for the lady putting her own change in there and having to come out and get it working. I don't see any pride being taken in this place, instead the owners have accepted going out of business as their fate. The pumps are worn out, the water heaters don't quite do the job anymore. The concrete is crumbling and the facility itself is aging and not being taken care of. What frustrates me as a business owner, is that if I had people going out of their way supporting my small car wash over the brand new monument to car culture across the street, id replace the pumps, id make sure that water is hot, I wouldn't let it all go and I'd give the people who don't support me anymore a reason to come back. Alot of people are still blindly loyal to this place and that included me until the other night. For $12 my mother's car should have been flawlessly clean. There should not have been bug juice left all over the front end and windshield. We still need wand washes because an automatic car wash cannot get bug juices completely off either. A wand wash should do a superior job to an automatic wash. That's what I like about them! But if I wanted to only wash off half the bug juices I would've paid for a wash at mint. It would've cost the same, and it would've left just as much behind! I actually feel bad for leaving this place a review like this, but it's been a few years, they've had time to innovate, to replace their worn infrastructure. I'm sorry but I cannot in good conscience recommend this place. Maybe for when your car isn't that dirty, but if you need an actual wash, go to gas king on Kingsway.

I prefer this car wash over the new big one, this one is better.
