This is the worst doctors office I've ever been to. The office is filthy!!!! I stand up every time I go there because it's so dirt. It does nit matter what time your appointment is, you will still wait an hour or two. The examination rooms are dirty as well and the place smells. I went in for an annual exam in which, I had to examine myself. I have high BP. My BP was never taken. I tried for 2 weeks to get a referral for a specialist. But, all I got was attitude and run around. Finally the receptionist told me that they were waiting on my insurance company to approve it. I immediately called my insurance company and asked for an update on my referral. They told me my plan didn't call for a referral and that I can see whatever doctor I want. So, they lied. I expressed to them how much pain I was in and how my condition is worsening. No Empathy or Sympathy. Only a condescending attitude, finger pointing and lies. They also do not practice proper HIPAA protocol. I heard them talking about patients and their ailments and diagnosis. I came out of an examination room and saw a folder turned up on the desk and realized it was mine!!!! I was able to see all of my info. I was horrified!!! I can on and on about this place. Please don't go here. Not if you value your health.
This is my first-ever review on a doctor which goes to show that I don’t normally do this. I was in that office today. Dr. Farina is either unaware of this or just doesn’t care, but I was placed in an exam room close to the front desk, where unfortunately I could very clearly hear him YELLING at his staff. I was nothing short of APPALLED by the way he was treating them and it made my heart race. I actually don’t even have the words to describe how unprofessional and to be honest, quite freaky this experience was. He LOUDLY RAISED voice at them on numerous occasions… to the point where I just sat there with my hand over my mouth. I was SHOCKED. I didn’t know whether to stay? Run out of there? To top this all off, I was in that small exam room alone for just shy of two hours barely able to keep my head up. So it was out of the question for me to ask for an approximate wait time, as I felt like I most likely would have gotten yelled at as well. The wait time doesn’t bother me- I understand the staffing issue. But to have to listen to the verbal abuse and him YELLING at these poor girls… I’m not ok with that, Especially while feeling so sick. Why not take them aside and talk to them privately or quietly? Doing it directly in front of patients is a a bold move and it’s amazing to me that his staff puts up with his cowardly behavior. Thank goodness he did not treat me today (I would have asked for another doctor or left) and upon leaving the building, I did request to speak with him but was told he wasn’t available at the moment. Please know that I would never take time out of my day to write this review (feeling as sick as a dog) if I didn’t feel so strongly about the situation. I also just learned that his license was recently suspended and I was not the least bit surprised. I will continue to push this situation outside of this review and I do have evidence to back my claim. I just came here first in an effort to steer anyone away that is considering going to see him. LASTLY, before someone from this office replies that I am not a patient of his, please know that I am not. I was a patient in the urgent care walk-in but was put in his office on the second floor, as were all of the other urgent care patients, due to a staffing shortage. The downstairs urgent care exam rooms were closed down due to minimal staff and this is the reason why I was put up in his office where I was close to the front desk.
Been coming here for about a year. Unless you have all day to spend here find another primary care. They do not care what time your appointments at mine is at 1:30 been waiting for a hour and a half just to get a paper signed for work. If I could give zero stars I would. Also dr farina is a myth he never in the office at north providence. When I asked why am I waiting so long the answer I got was drive across the state to his Coventry location so I can spend more gas and time.
