East Egg on Sears Drive in Portage, MI

Having drove past this place a hundred times, I finally stopped in. Was pleasantly surprised with the breakfast burrito. Good taste.

Food was good but a little bland. Build your own omelet was a bit pricey for eggs and cheese. No western omelet available. Good bacon. Wish the omelet came with American fries. A bit busy with a large group in the center of the restaurant, but it didn't effect the time of food.

Was a good experience over all. Gave it a 4, my wife would give it a five so it would be more like a 4 1/2 between the two of us. Me and my wife both enjoyed our dish. She wasn't all that fond of the texture of the pancake and I wasn't too fond of the seasoning of my steak, slightly overcooked (could also have been my fault when ordering, so i won't hold that against them) but those aside it would definitely get a 5. We went on a slower morning i guess because the wait wasn't that long, service was prompt and staff was excellent. You will definitely leave feeling full with left overs depending on what you get. My wife got the cornbeef hash that came with eggs and hashbrown and upgraded to cinnamon pancakes and I ordered the steak and egg special that came with hash brown and pancakes. Cornbeef was seasoned well.(**she had put ketchup on the hash before I took the picture) We will be back,and will try something new on the menu.
