I had a slow service here and left a 3 star super fair accurate review of how it has a poor setup and the clerk has to walk back and forth and it makes everything take longer. The owner then wrote a lengthy reply acting like I was a Competitor! What a joke! Sorry your slow and that you don’t wan to admit it but that’s what happened to me and as such I prefer other bait shops on the island. What a loser owner!

Nice new store, lots of tackle, live bait, and supplies. As in other reviews, the owners NEED to be more personable, in my opinion. A business such as this can only thrive if they have good customer service. They may survive on no repeat customers, but they won't build the business up.

Wow. I'm glad when I read these other reviews that it isn't just me apparently. Same issues when I was there. I felt like they were inconvenienced by me being there. After I got their attention, I asked for six dozen shrimp. I believe I was either 10 cents or 20 cents short, paying in cash. I jokingly said, "can you spot me the dime"? This is on a $30 batch of shrimp mind you. Absolutely no sense of humor or sense of customer service AT ALL. Incredibly awkward response. It seemed like the guy was actually worried about the dime. Very uncomfortable situation. If I had to do it again, I would have just said "put the shrimp back" and walked out. Anyway... Then when we got out on the water, my 2 buddies and I all agreed, half the shrimp were tiny and useless, and no way we got 6 dozen. When I go over to Naples Wholesale Bait on Shadowlawn, they are super friendly, I throw them an even amount of cash (no nickles and dimes), and they always give me extra shrimp. It's worth the drive to work with people who appreciate the business. And they give you extra shrimp because some of them are going to be under-sized. It's only fair. To the owner, I realize that starting a business is a big risk, and there is a lot of pressure. But you're not doing yourself any favors attacking everyone who gives you feedback on Google Reviews. That's only making the reviews seem more plausible. You seem to have a real chip on your shoulder about something. It's great the you (apparently) served in the military. Thanks for your service. But again, not sure how that is relevant to how you treat people in the civilian world. I just want to get in and out quickly with a fair deal, be appreciated as the customer, and not have to screw around with nickels and dimes. I believe in giving people a second chance, so I will probably stop back again in the future. Hopefully you take this constructive feedback to heart. Good luck. And I promise to update this review if my next experience is more positive. Anyone can have a bad day.
