Me and my husband tried this place on a whim because it was getting late and we couldn’t quite figure out what we wanted. Seeing as he is a kitchen manager at a BBQ restaurant, he had his own expectations and they were blown away. We had the chopped BBQ sandwich, fries, and hush puppies and a side of ranch to go with the fries. Everything was delicious. I usually dip my hush puppies in butter but these were so buttery and soft that I didn’t need to. Everything was so so good. The atmosphere is cool because it has exposed brick and the kitchen is open so you can see everything that’s going on, without it being loud. Whenever we went to leave, we were told that someone had paid for our meal. The kind woman at the register explained that the people who eat here have been coming for many years, and whenever they spot a new customer, they will usually pay for their meal. I thought that was very sweet. She explained that it is a good community based restaurant and I couldn’t agree more.

Great Food with Fantastic Service. They Offer Daily Specials Wednesday thru Saturday and Also Offer Vegetable Plates with Your Choice of 2 or 3 Vegetable. Everything is cooked fresh and served Hot. They also have a Large Dining Area for Groups or Family Get Togethers Etc. You can Order Ahead and pick up or Dine In/Get To Go. Troutman's is Also Known For Their Fantastic Barbecue, (Plates, Sandwiches, Barbecue Salads), They Know Barbecue!! It's A Great Place for the Whole Family!! The Entire Staff is So Friendly. They have a Large Menu to order from if you don't want One of The Daily Specials. They Also Always have A Large Selection Of Fresh Vegetables To Choose From. Truly A Part Of Concord Restaurant History, and They Treat Everyone Like Family. A Fantastic Place To Enjoy A Great Meal at a Affordable Price!!

I have been obsessed with the BBQ sandwich from here for years now! Yesterday, I was craving Troutmans so much but they were closed, I decided to go to What-A-Burger instead to get a BBQ sandwich. What-A-Burger's BBQ sandwich does not hold a candle to Troutmans!!! The food, service, and all around "vibe" is HANDS DOWN WAY BETTER AT TROUTMANS!!! No other restaurant, including even Wayside Diner, has the quality and amazing food that Troutmans does! Now if I can just convince Troutmans to be open every day! lol. I've said it before and I will say it again, Troutmans has amazing food, amazing employees, and they always make you feel so welcome, EVEN WHEN THEY'RE SLAMMED BUSY!!!!
